Estate Sale is a Chicago-based band founded by longtime collaborators Joey Colando (Meekos & Me, Kidd Bayou) and David Wechsler (Piñataland, Tyranny of Dave). Blending swirling organs, analog warmth, global textures, and lo-fi digital manipulations, their music inhabits the liminal space between the plaintive and the surreal—where rustbelt nostalgia meets exploratory soundscapes.
Their sound fuses elements of Americana, psych folk, and experimental rock, layered with unexpected instrumentation and a strong melodic core. Colando’s evocative songwriting and Wechsler’s expansive arrangements create music that is both emotionally resonant and sonically adventurous.
The band’s current lineup includes Anna Soltys (Backup Vocals), Brett Piasecki (Bass), Tom Jasek (Drums) and Kevin Battle (Guitar).
Estate Sale’s live sets are immersive, textural, and emotionally charged—featuring live, luscious harmonies, layered keys and swirling soundscapes, spontaneous improvisations, and driving energy. The band has performed in intimate DIY spaces, storied Chicago venues, and experimental showcases, always bringing a raw and resonant energy to the stage.

Estate Sale’s latest EP features 5 genre-defying tracks that range from introspective ballads to glitchy, swirling soundscapes. The record explores themes of isolation, transformation, and the passage of time with a tone that is at once tender, wry, and immersive.
IT'S FUN TO PRETEND
"In a musical world where I’m not surprised that often, these guys brought something new and wonderful to the table, and you’ll never know what that is unless you check them out!" - Pitch Perfect
"The story is beautifully-articulated with image-laden lyrics. An uplifting but understated chorus really hits hard and the pair’s attention to detail in their instrumental arrangement brings the whole piece to life. It really is impressive stuff." - York Calling - Graeme Smith
